Shop The Neighbourhood on Small Business Saturday encourages support for the local businesses in your community – and technology is offering a helping hand.
The day picked is no accident — strategically placed between Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
And it’s also using technology to help you find deals just steps from your home, as a way keep business close to home.

“One of the apps that we have called YP Shopwise specifically focuses on deals that are geo-localized, so deals in your neighbourhood close by,” explained Storey
And it’s for the good of Canada’s economy.
“Last year’s event saw about 750,000 Canadians spending roughly $89 million at local retailers across Canada on that day.”
