Elderly woman assaulted at casino

Police are investigating after an elderly woman was assaulted at the Calgary Casino on Meridian Road.
Detective Andy Nguyen confirmed the victim was exiting the casino when she was hit on the back of her head, and her belongings were stolen.
“There was some language barrier; it appeared that there is a vehicle involved. I think the offenders took off in what appeared to be a white Hyundai Sonata,” he said.
The woman was taken to hospital for safety precautions.
