A Seat at Our Table cooks for the Mustard Seed

Some of the top chefs from around Calgary gathered Monday night at the Mustard Seed’s Foothills shelter to cook up a meal for 370 of its clients.

It is all part of the A Seat at Our Table initiative developed by ATB Financial, Alberta Motor Association and the Alberta Culinary Tourism Alliance to have broader conversations about where food comes from.

ATB Financial’s Terry Andryo tells 660 NEWS all of the ingredients in the meal were from Alberta.

“That’s the whole premise of A Seat at Our Table; it’s about the local end of things. So, everything was sourced and resourced from Alberta, not necessarily just the Calgary region but outside the Calgary region as well,” he said.

Andryo says the chefs served up a meal that was consistent with the Mustard Seed’s offering.
