Where: 111 8 Ave SW, 403-263-5330, blinkcalgary.com
What: A contemporary Canadian restaurant in downtown Calgary that has a timeless atmosphere, beautifully plated food, really refined service (without being overly stuffy) and a great wine list.
Price point: Moderate. Dining tends to be a little more expensive downtown, but the price point is reasonable when you consider the use of hyper local ingredients and portions.
Pro: Aside from some of the best food in the city (in my opinion), Blink has a really high level of service, but they don’t treat anyone differently whether you’re wearing jeans and a sweater or a business suit.
Con: If you’re going for lunch, parking is definitely at a premium since it’s located on Stephen Avenue.
