It was a deadly long weekend in Calgary as the city may have tacked on its 24th and 25th murders of the year.
On Sunday around 5:30 p.m., police were called to a check on welfare at a home in the northwest community of Ranchlands.
When they arrived, they found a body inside the townhouse and declared it to be a suspicious death.
No further details have been released in the case, though homicide investigators have spoken with a number of potential witnesses.
Then, at 11 p.m., Sunday, emergency crews were called to the Beltline along 7 Street near 12 Avenue S.W. on reports a man had been assaulted in an alley.
He later passed away.
Anyone with information in that case is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
