Nenshi releases Cities Matter results

Results of the Cities Matter survey are out.

As part of the federal election campaign, municipal leaders asked the federal parties to put forward their plans to deal with issues ranging from housing and transportation to infrastructure and public safety.

Mayor Naheed Nenshi was very pleased with the responses received.

“This is so different than the last time we did this in a federal election, where cities were very much an afterthought,” he explained. “It is very clear that if you cut away the headline stuff people are talking about and look at the core elements of the party platforms, they’re all thinking hard about cities. That’s the good news.

Nenshi is encouraging people to check out the survey results at citiesmatter.ca before heading to the polls on October 19th.

Those who check out the site might notice a lack of responses from the Conservatives, but they are expected to be posted shortly, even though the deadline to submit was a week ago.
