Calgary police have a new tool to help officers in emergencies that involves people with disabilities.
The Vulnerable Person Self-Registry will allow people to submit their own information to a database if they have a physical, mental or medical condition requiring special attention.
The information will be accessible to Calgary’s 911 centre, to help those in distress.
Police say it will not be used for criminal investigations.
