Village Brewery discontinues growlers due to safety concerns

Village Brewery has ceased the sale of their growler beer bottles, after reports of leaking, and even a few cases of explosions.
In March 2014, the company re-called the 1.89 litre bottles because of a glass defect.
A statement from Village now says they will stop selling that size bottle all together, adding their first concern is for the safety of their customers.
Kegs, 330 ml and 650 ml bottles will still be available for purchase.
Anyone who has already purchased a full growler is asked to pour it out and to contact Village Brewery at 403-243-3327 or info@villagebrewery.com, and they will replace it with a six pack.
