Police make arrest, issue warrant after separate Calgary bank robberies

Calgary Police have charged a man in connection with a bank robbery and have issued a warrant for the arrest of another man in relation to a second bank robbery.

Police said at approximately 10:30 a.m. on August 21st, a male suspect entered the Royal Bank located in the 3800 block of Bow Trail S.W.

The suspect approached the teller and produced a note demanding money.

He was given an undisclosed amount of money and then fled the scene.

On September 1st, Keenan Selahadin Abubaker, 23, was charged with Robbery.

He’s set to appear in court on September 8th.

In a separate incident, at approximately 5 p.m. on August 14th, an unknown male entered the Royal Bank located in the 400 block of 10 Street N.W.

He approached the teller and produced a note demanding money.

The man was provided with an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Kristopher James Aubrey, 24, of no fixed address.
