Man pinned by vehicle in attempted robbery

A man in his 40s is in hospital after he was pinned while trying to stop his vehicle from being stolen in Richmond.
Police say their investigation is in the early stages, but it appears the victim was trying to thwart the robbery when he was hit in the 1900 block of Tecumseh Road S.W. around 1 p.m.
Adam Loria with EMS said the fire department had to be brought in to extricate the man before sending him to hospital.
“Quite serious injuries to his legs, to his lower extremities, luckily however in stable and considered non life-threatening condition,” he said.
There are no suspects at this time.
