Labour Day long weekend will be a tad chilly

Planning on spending the Labour Day long weekend outdoors?

Well you better bundle up!

Meteorologist David Spence says the last long weekend of summer will feel anything but summer-like.

“Well, it’s going to be cool that’s for sure and wet as well. I think (Friday) we will see some showers especially towards the evening, (Friday) won’t be all that wet, but once we get into (Saturday), we’re in for some serious rainfall, I think it will rain all day (Saturday), we could get 10 to 15 millimetres of rainfall, and the temperature won’t get any better than seven or eight degrees,” Spence said.

He adds it will be cool and wet out in the mountain parks as well, where overnight temperatures will drop to near zero degrees, with the possibility of snow in higher elevations.
