It’s the day Calgary sports fans have been waiting for.
Plans will be revealed Tuesday afternoon for a brand new Flames arena, to be built west of the downtown core.
The Saddledome opened its doors in 1983, and is one of the oldest rinks in the NHL.
The project, dubbed ‘CalgaryNEXT’, is also rumoured to include a new stadium for the Stampeders, as well as a field house.
An information session will happen at 2:30 p.m., at Stampede Park.
You can hear it live at Sportsnet 960 the Fan.
