Just for Laughs to offer comedy week at Cancun resort in November

TORONTO – Just for Laughs is partnering with a Mexican resort to offer a week of comic fun in the sun.
The Montreal-based entertainment group known for its annual comedy fest and in-flight video gags shown by airlines plans to present the inaugural edition of “Just for Laughs Resort Week” at the Royalton Riviera Cancun from Nov. 8 to 14.
The 1,200-room beach-side resort on the Yucatan peninsula is the newest addition to the Royalton Luxury Resorts chain.
The event will feature standup comedy acts and busker-style sidewalk shows. It will be free for resort guests, according to a press release.
Performers will include “Saturday Night Live” alum Jim Breuer, “Last Comic Standing” winner Alonzo Bodden and Vegas magician Ben Seidman.
Tour operator Sunwing has lined up all-inclusive packages (http://bit.ly/1E6yT8n) to the resort departing from various Canadian cities.
