Nearly five per cent of the federal government’s $150-million Community Infrastructure Program will go to Calgary.

The announcement this week of $741,779 will go to five projects around the city, including upgrades to the Garrison Curling Club, new space for the school learning centre at Glenbow Museum, as well as upgrades to the Marda Loop, Richmond, and Shaganappi Community Associations.

Calgary-Southeast MP Jason Kenney and Alberta Transportation Minister Brian Mason are scheduled to make a second Calgary infrastructure announcement Thursday in regards to the Calgary southwest ring road.
