Murder charge laid after body found on Highway 1

Cochrane RCMP has laid charges after the body of a man was found on the Trans-Canada Highway earlier this week.

27-year-old Tristan Wesley is facing charges of second degree murder, assault causing bodily harm and uttering threats, after a 55-year-old man was found dead on the side of the road on Canada Day.

The victim has not been identified, but both live on the Morley First Nation.

Wesley will appear in court on July 21.
