Spring is the traditional birthing season for Mother Nature.
The warmer weather and growing abundance of food gives living things the best chance of survival.
And its no different at the Calgary Zoo.
Colleen Baird, who speaks for the Zoo, says this spring has been especially prolific.
“We’ve had two sets of twins in our Rocky Mountain goats, two lambs born of our big horn sheep we have some great gray owl chicks, a Japanese serow which is a goat species that had a calf born and we also had two muskox calves born,” she said.
Baird says now is a great time to visit the Zoo to see all the baby animals.
