Rally held to recall Calgary-Bow MLA Deborah Drever

A rally to recall Calgary-Bow MLA Deborah Drever took place in Bowness Sunday.
The protest comes on the heels of Drever being dropped from the NDP caucus after posting homophobic comments about former premier Jim Prentice.
A high school student organized the event and says each riding has a right to someone with a serious attitude towards good governance, and people have plenty to say about the issue.
Some Calgarians agree with the decision:
One person said, “Personally, I think the right move was made.”
Another added, “I think they did the right thing by letting her go.”
Also, “I’m glad the leader put her into an independent seat.”
However, Ian says “This won’t be the last time we’ll see a politician get in trouble over online media posts”.
