A motorcycle driver sent to hospital after hitting a pole

A man is in hospital in serious but non-life threatening condition after crashing into a pole in the northwest Saturday afternoon.
Detective Steve Adair said Calgary police responded to an alley where they found the driver.
“It happened on sixteenth avenue and seventh street northwest,” Adair said. “It was in the alleyway … apparently behind what I think is the Rusty Cage.”
Adair added alcohol is believed to be a factor, and said police will request a blood test to confirm, but won’t receive the results until next week.
