This week, we’re featuring the story of ‘Scout,’ who’s recovering well after recently being hurt in an accident.
Nikki Dokken with AARCS, the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society, says Scout is a one and a half year old old golden retriever / german shepard cross with a great personality.
“I think he’s the nicest dog we’ve ever had. He came to us at the end of April, he had been hit by a car, the poor little guy. He was taken to the vet, unfortunately the owners weren’t able to afford his care so we took him on with us,” says Dokken.
She says he’s now healthy and well adjusted despite his ordeal.
‘He’s been going through treatment for the last few weeks and has healed up really nicely. He’s doing really well. He still kind of walks like a little baby deer but he’s always happy to go for a walk and play with the other dogs. He hasn’t been fazed by anything he’s gone through at all.”
Dokken thinks Scout would be perfect for anyone, including a family with kids.
