Flames eliminated from Stanley Cup Playoffs

The clock has struck midnight, for the Flames’ Cinderella playoff run.

Calgary needed a win Sunday in Anaheim to stay alive in the series, and there was some hope, Flames forward Jiri Hudler opened the scoring.

Ryan Kesler of the Ducks would quickly tie it during a power play early in the second period, and Calgary’s Johnny Gaudreau would retaliate, taking back the lead.

Another goal from Ducks’ Matt Belesky would tie up the game a second time, sending it into OT.

Anaheim would waste no time in the extra period, scoring 2:26 in.

Anaheim now moves on to the Western Conference Finals against the Chicago Blackhawks.
