Not just Alberta awaiting the results of provincial election

It’s not just Albertans keeping an eye on this Alberta 2015 Election.

A University of Toronto professor says many people across the country are curious to see if the province’s electorate moves left on the political scale.

“For political junkies, yes, they’re following it closely, they’re fascinated by what’s going to happen, just as I think Albertans are,” Nelson Wiseman told 660News.

Wiseman, also the Director of Canadian Studies at U of T, says this election campaign is easily compared to the one in 1971 when the PC’s knocked the Social Credit Party out of power after forty years.

He says all the talk was about electing a government of change: a theme, he feels, runs through this vote, as well.
