Wildrose leader calls on NDP and PC to release donor list

The Wildrose is calling for more clarity on who is donating to the various Alberta parties.
Leader Brian Jean said his party has disclosed all of its campaign donors and want the Conservatives and the NDP to do the same.
“After the last campaign in fact, Albertans are very nervous about what special interest groups are funding which parties,” Jean said. “If Mr. Prentice wants to put to rest the notion that his party is once again breaking election laws, he should follow our lead and release his donor list. He said he was going to be accountable; let him prove that.”
“I think both Rachel Notley and the NDP, and Jim Prentice and the PCs should come forward to declare exactly to Albertans before the election, before people make up their mind on where to vote, as to where they’re getting their money from to fund their campaigns,” added Jean.
Jean has said the Wildrose plans on rewriting campaign laws if elected to a system that is clear and holds politicians accountable.
