Duchess of Cambridge rushed to hospital to give birth to second child

By

People in the United Kingdom and around the world are watching closely as the Duchess of Cambridge was sent to hospital in “the early stages of labour”, according to the official Twitter account for Kensington Palace.

According to the Palace, “HRH The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted at 06.00hrs to St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London and is in the early stages of labour.”

That tweet was followed by one that said, “The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge.”

There’s no word yet on the baby’s gender.

Earlier this week, people were guessing it would be a girl, and the most popular rumour was that her name would be Alice.
