Flames fans optimistic after Game 5 loss

They couldn’t pull it off Thursday night, but Flames fans still believe the team will advance to round two of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Flames lost 2-1 in Vancouver Thursday, narrowing Calgary’s lead in the series to three games to two.

Fans watching the game at National told City News, now they’re looking forward to the Flames return to Calgary for game six.

“Red Mile in Calgary is going to be insane,” said one fan. “I cannot wait until Saturday; I’m not going to lie. They’re coming back to Calgary and they’re going to win, so it doesn’t even matter.”

Game six goes Saturday at the Saddledome. Puck drop is 7 p.m. on CBC and Sportsnet960 The Fan.
