Calgary Police are assuring residents in the Beltline there is nothing to worry about, following a loud boom late Wednesday night.
Sergeant Joe Hebert had an explanation for the startling sound.
“Basically that was our Tactical Unit conducting an operation,” Hebert said. “They used a device during that operation.”
Hebert said during the course of the operation it was decided the device was needed.
Calgary Police tweeted from their account following the incident that there was no threat to the public.
