Calgary man ready for poutine marathon

Are you ready to stuff you face with a truly Canadian treat?

Calgary Poutine Week starts Saturday and runs until April 25.

A local man is ready for a dining marathon.

Kyle MacQuarrie will be trying to eat all 48 poutines being served up at restaurants around the city, in 7 days.

Last year he ate 36 Stampede breakfasts for charity.

He’s doing it for a good cause; Mealsharehttp://www.mealshare.ca/city/calgary/. “Mealshare is a organization that partners with different restaurants around the city. The restaurants have certain menu items where if someone buys that meal, they donate a meal to someone in need,” he says.

You don’t have to keep pace with Kyle, but he’s encouraging Calgarians to get out and sample some of the 48 poutines. the fun and feasting launches from the Ship and Anchor on 17 Ave. Saturday at 1p.m.
