The sentencing hearing for a woman who ordered her dogs to attack another woman more than two years ago begins Thursday.
Rita Phillip was found guilty of ordering her two pit-bull type dogs to attack a 26-year-old Calgary woman back in August, 2012.
The woman was visiting Phillip in her trailer park home in Sundre when the attack happened.
The victim was found with life-threatening injuries in a bedroom in the trailer by RCMP, who also located the two dogs locked in another bedroom in an agitated state.
Phillip was declared guilty by a judge back in June of aggravated assault, and criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
