Vision for Calgary Parks presented

A 30-year vision for parks has been presented at City Hall.
Parks Director Ann Charlton says the document includes some consultation with young Calgarians.
Grade four students were asked “if you were your mom or dad’s age what would parks look like?”
“I mean frankly, some of their pictures were the most interesting and the most aspirational. Out of it we will have 10 year strategic plans, usually tied to an area of expertise, whether it’s a cultural landscape or biodiversity,” said Charlton.
Charlton says the parks plan will continue to evolve over the years.
