Charges laid after running vehicle stolen with baby left inside

A 21-year-old man from Morley is facing vehicle theft and driving related offences, after a scary stolen vehicle incident Sunday evening.
Killick Donnie Hunter will appear in court in Feb. 9.
Just before 6:00p.m., police were called to the 10,000 block of Macleod Trail S.E. to reports of a stolen vehicle with a baby inside.
The mother had left the child in the running GMC Yukon while she stepped into a nearby store.
Then around 6:10p.m., the Yukon was found in the 9800 block of Horton Road S.W. after the offender flagged down a passerby and asked them to call 9-1-1.
Police and EMS arrived on scene and the child was determined to be unharmed.
The man remained on scene and was taken into custody by police, with charges pending.
