SAIT welcomes prospective students

A record number of high school students will be visiting SAIT Polytechnic Friday for its annual fall open house.

Three thousand teens will be touring the school’s campus and facilities, as well as ‘trying a skill’ in hopes of finding out which program might be the right fit for them.

Lee Haldeman, VP Academic, says there’s a lot of new equipment to showcase.

“We’ve expanded our trades’ area, so this is where young people or more mature people can come along and, you know, get a small taste of some of the occupations that are potentially available through SAIT,” he said.

The open house runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Prospective students of all ages are welcome.
