Car 2 Go has hit a milestone in our city.
More than 65,000 Calgarians in the city now use the service — the second highest number in North America.
When the car-sharing network debuted in Cowtown two years ago, they didn’t expect such a tremendous response.
The company has increased their fleet of vehicles to keep up with demand; they now have 550 cars.
Location Manager Jon Wycoco says Car 2 Go also now hit the two million trip mark.
“People are using our service extensively,” he said. “Whether it be downtown, going out for dinner, going to see friends, people are using our vehicles for a myriad of reasons.”
Wycoco calls Calgary is a very vibrant city.
He explains, a lot of people live and work downtown and the service really fits their needs.
