Trailer Park Boys actor goes on quest to become world’s best Santa Claus

You might know him as the drunken Lahey Santa on Trailer Park Boys.
In real life, Actor John Dunsworth attempted to become the world’s best Santa Claus.
The documentary, Santa Quest, is screening at the Calgary International Film Festival, and follows Dunsworth’s journey around Europe to the Santa Winter Games in Sweden.
He explains why the film is worth seeing.
“Well, if somebody wants to have a little romp around the world, and take a look at a guy who’s trying to become the world’s best Santa,” he said, “ho, ho, ho. Then, come and sit on Santa’s knee and I’ll take you on a journey to the North Pole.”
Santa Quest is showing at the Calgary International Film Festival Friday evening at Eau Claire and at the Globe Cinema Sunday afternoon.
