Black bear sighting in North Glenmore Park

Fish and Wildlife officers are keeping a sharp eye on a black bear, which wandered into North Glenmore Park Thursday.

Spokesperson Brendan Cox tells 660News this is not the first time this particular bruin has made an appearance in the southwest Calgary gren space.

“Fortunately this bear does seem rather shy of humans. He is rather close to the city, but it seems that whenever he knows people are in the area he is keeping his distance and finding other places to go,” said Cox.

Cox says if anyone sees the bear, they are encouraged to call Fish and Wildlife at 1-800-642-3800.
