Albertans vote for a new licence plate

Nearly 165,000 people went online to help pick a new design for the province’s licence plate.
The online ballot closed at midnight Tuesday, with the winning plate getting nearly 79,734 votes.
It features black letters, a blue sky, large mountains, and grass picking.
The province says that design could still be tweaked a little as they now prepare to go through more than 9-thousand emails sent in to offer suggestions.
The finalized plate will be available for vehicles in the spring, and will also include a reflective coating that makes it easier to see under low light conditions and easier for infrared equipment to read.
