Forget about the football game, the Eskimos, or even the Calgary Stampders. Thursday night’s 50/50 was the hot ticket at Commonwealth Stadium.
Edmonton’s CFL fans saw the pot rise to nearly $350,000 by the end of the third quarter — more than double the original record.
Some fans across twitter complained about having to spend more than 90 minutes in line for a chance at the big cash jackpot.
Due to the high number of sales, the team was unable to draw the winning ticket during the game, posting it afterwards on their website and across their twitter feed.
