The best athletes in the province are in Airdrie for the Alberta Summer Games.
Most of the events are set to kick off Friday; Soccer did start Thursday and continues Friday with the girls hitting the pitch at 9:00 a.m. followed by the boys at 11:00 a.m.
Here’s a list of starting events on Friday…
Athletics
10:00 a.m. Girls 15 and under Hammer toss
12:35 p.m. 100m Pentathlon
Baseball
8:15 a.m. Zone 3 vs. Zone 8
8:30 a.m. Zone 6 vs. Zone 7
Basketball
10:00 a.m.
Zone 5 vs. Zone 2 (Girls)
Zone 3 vs. Zone 1 (Girls)

Competition starts at 9:00 a.m.
Cycling – BMX
Practice from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Race at 2:30 p.m.
Cycling – Mountain Biking
Course practice for men and women from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
