Calgarians will gather at a northeast church Tuesday to remember young Zackariah Rathwell.
The 21 year-old is the fourth stabbing victim to be laid to rest.
His family wrote in his obituary:
“Words are not adequate to describe the pain we feel over the tragic loss of our amazing, talented, handsome and legendary Zack.”
A memorial for the talented young musician will be held at Centre Street Church at 3900 – 2nd Street N.E. at 1:30 p.m.
His family issued an open invitation to everyone in the city grieving alongside them.
It reads: “We know that he touched the lives of so many through his kindness, his laughter and his music, which is why we are inviting everyone to Zack’s funeral.”
They add: “We are devastated by what happened. It is a struggle every day to understand that Zackariah won’t be coming home.”
