Report says the City will be short $3.2-billion for infrastructure

A new report going before the City’s Land and Asset Committee on Thursday says there will be a major shortfall over the next decade when it comes to infrastructure funding.
The 2013 Infrastructure Status Report says Calgary will see a $3.2-billion shortfall over the next 10 years.
It is a result of an expected rise in population growth and the rising cost that brings to infrastructure like water and waste services.
Over the next 10 years the City will need $7.04-billion to manage maintenance, growth and operating requirements.
