Calgary City Hall flags at half-mast

Flags at City Hall are flying at half-mast in honour of the five murder victims in Brentwood.

Mayor Naheed Nenshi has ordered them to be lowered until the day of the last funeral.

On Tuesday morning, Josh Hunter, Zak Rathwell, Kaiti Perras, Jordan Segura, and Lawrence Hong were stabbed to death at a house party.

Calgary Police Chief Rick Hansen told Breakfast Television they continue to work on the case.

“I don’t think there is going to be any major revelation now from the police in the weeks ahead” he said. “Now it’s a matter of putting the pieces together and in recognizing that because it’s before the courts a lot of the questions won’t be answered until sometime down the road”.

Mount Royal University will hold a ceremony and a moment of silence in honour of Kaiti Perras and Jordan Segura who attended MRU.
