Home and Garden show kicks off

If you’re looking for some advice or inspiration on sprucing up your home this spring, you might want to head to the BMO Centre for the 2014 Calgary Home and Garden Show, on now through Sunday.
There are more than 650 exhibitors, showcasing the latest in home improvements, trends and must-haves, for inside and outside your home!
You can also get advice on design and style from experts like HGTV’s Tommy Smythe, who stars alongside Sara Richardson on Design Inc. and Sarah 101.
Tommy says his talk is about mastering the mix.
“We talk about ideas, big ideas, in terms of design, how to mix different periods and styles, how to achieve the kind of look that you want, and then also how to be brave in your interior design projects,” he said.
Tommy smythe is on the main stage Friday at 7p.m. and again Saturday at 2pm.
Also appearing on the main stage this weekend is the star of Canada’s Handyman Challenge, Bryan Baeumler, Friday at 6p.m. and Saturday at 11a.m.
