Forget road rage. This is a case of pedestrian rage.

Police Duty Inspector Michael Watterston tells 660News just before 7:30a.m. Tuesday morning, officers were called to Midlake Boulevard and Sunmills Drive S.E. to investigate what they thought was a fight between two men in the intersection.

Watterston says they quickly learned that wasn’t the case, “Apparently the pedestrian and vehicle had come into contact at that location and the pedestrian subsequently punched the driver and walked away.”

No word on the injuries to the driver who was punched.

The pedestrian who walked away could be charged with assault.

Police are not speculating as to what contact was made between the vehicle and the man on the street.
