Tories unveiling family violence strategy

The province is preparing to release what it calls a “new way forward in preventing family violence.”
A news conference has been called for Friday morning at the University of Calgary where police chief Rick Hansen will be joined by government and university officals in making the announcement.
The strategy focuses on a primary prevention strategy while strengthening existing invtervention measures.
It also focuses on helping youth and young adults recognize the importance of healthy relationships.
