Arrest warrant issued for woman accused in beating death

An arrest warrant has now been issued for one of the people accused of beating to death a Colombian man on the streets of Calgary.

Chantell Tiffany Campbell failed to show up for her preliminary inquiry for second degree murder.

Campbell is charged alongside two others, Garrett Elliot Lee Smith and Jarod Donald Henry.

The trio were initially charged with aggravated assault, and then attempted murder, after John Herrera-Garcia was attacked downtown in May of 2012.

The Calgary Sun reports, those charges were upgraded after Herrera-Garcia passed away months later in hospital.

All three could face life in prison.
