Food Bank buries time capsule to mark 30 years

The Calgary Food Bank celebrated thirty years of service Thursday morning.

A time capsule containing press clippings, photos and other memorabilia is now buried in the food bank’s new anniversary garden.

Spokesperson Shauna Ogston tells 660News they also included some food from their hampers: like Kraft Dinner and Campbell soup.

“You know, I bet you that food will actually be intact. What I think will be very interesting to see is the difference in labels,” she says. “Will it be retro? Will it be something that we’ll giggle about in the future?

The time capsule will be unearthed in another three decades.
