Wikileaks acknowledges U of C Young Liberals

The Young Liberals at the University of Calgary are getting attention for an appearance in Wikileaks documents.
The document reads: “The Alberta wing of the Liberal party sponsored a call for the complete legalization and taxation of marijuana. National media report that the University of Calgary Young Liberals forced this resolution through the provincial body.”
Vincent St. Pierre, President of the U of C Young Liberals, said the attention certainly helps the cause.
“It’s a huge recognition to be seen from the American point of view that we are either a, a threat, or b, major players in the Canadian political system.” he said.
He added the coverage will also help with getting attention to the issue itself, which he said more than 50 per cent of Canadians support.
