Largest rock show in Alberta set to rock Lacombe

Rock nerds, geeks and enthusiasts of all ages, it may be time to plan a quick trip to Lacombe.
The province’s largest display of gems, crystals and fossils are now on display in Central Alberta.
Silver Cove’s Spring Rock and Gem Show starts Thursday and runs for eleven days at the Lacombe Centre Mall.
Organizer Melissa Robak tells 660News the show has doubled each year, for the past four years, thanks to interest from across Western Canada.
“I currently have bookings for our courses and classes from as far away as Manitoba,” she says. “I have people driving down from Grande Prairie, I also have quite a few groups from Calgary who actually booked the day off work and are here for the opening day.”
“There are a ton of us who just absolutely love this, we are rock collectors from around the world and we do all of this ourselves,” Robak adds. “And we are definitely here to answer your questions.”
Souvenir hunters will also have the opportunity to purchase a rock, gem or stone for their very own collection.
