What’s open and closed around Calgary on Family Day

The Family Day holiday is affecting some services around Calgary.
Arenas, pools and fitness and art centres are not open as employees enjoy the long weekend with their families.
The Spyhill and Shepard landfills are closed but the East Calgary location is open from 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Recycling depots and residential garbage and recycling collection are operating as usual.
Arenas are closed, with the exception of free family skates at some locations from 1 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
The Inglewood Bird Sanctuary, Devonian Gardens, and the Calgary Zoo are all open.
As for public transit, C-train and bus service is operating on a Sunday schedule for the day.
