It’s only three months into the Distress Centre’s new online chat feature and already hundreds of Calgarians are taking advantage of the tool.
Since it’s launch in November, 400 people have logged on, looking to talk to someone for help.
Matthew Wengrowich with the Distress Centre tells the Calgary Sun those are huge numbers, considering the chat is only available Monday to Friday 5-10 p.m.
The chat is anonymous and confidential and lets people express themselves without judgment.
