A brawl in Calgary’s northeast community of Renfrew has sent one man to hospital with non-life threatening stab wounds.

A disturbance complaint was called into police around 9:00p.m. Friday and officers responded to the 600 block of 12th Avenue NE.

Duty Inspector Bruce Walker tells 660News, a fight broke between a few men out on the street.

“Upon the arrival of units, they were starting to disband, however a male had received a few non life-threatening stab wounds and was transported to a medical facility,” says Walkers.

The victim remains in Foothills Hospital.

No word on what sparked the altercation, and police continue to investigate the incident.
