Post-secondary students in the city are enjoying some much deserved time off.
After a week of mid-terms, classes at SAIT, Mount Royal University and the University of Calgary won’t resume until February 25th because of reading break.
Student President at U of C, Hardave Birk, says the break is healthy.
“There are a lot of studies that show breaks like this during the school year can help students relieve stress and pressure, which can also help prevent mental health issues for students as well,” explains Birk.
Birk says many university departments will still be open, but the campus will be much quieter next week.
